Account Cancellation

Canceling your ACT3 AI account permanently closes your subscription, ends billing, and removes access to all projects and stored content. Before canceling, download any videos, scripts, or assets you want to keep, because project data cannot be recovered after cancellation is confirmed.

Before You Cancel

Take these steps before submitting a cancellation request:

  1. Export your videos — Open each project, go to Build Video, and export final renders in your preferred format. See Export for format options.
  2. Download your scripts — Export scripts as FDX, PDF, or Fountain from the Script Editor.
  3. Save your assets — Download any images, character files, or set elements you want to keep from the Asset Library.
  4. Note your billing period end date — Your account remains active until the end of the current paid period even after cancellation is requested. Use that time to finish exports.

How to Cancel

  1. Log in to app.act3ai.com
  2. Click your profile icon (top-right corner)
  3. Go to Settings → Plans and Billing
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Cancel Subscription
  5. Review the cancellation summary — it shows your account end date, what data will be deleted, and any remaining credits
  6. Click Confirm Cancellation
  7. You will receive a confirmation email at your account email address

What Happens After Cancellation

Billing — No further charges after the cancellation confirmation. Your account stays active through the end of the current billing period.

Credits — Any unused monthly credits and rollover bank credits are forfeited at cancellation. Credits are non-refundable.

Projects and data — After cancellation, your account downgrades to the free tier. Projects and generated videos are retained for 90 days. After 90 days, all projects, scenes, shots, digital actors, scripts, and rendered videos are permanently deleted. This cannot be undone.

Organization — If you are the Owner of an organization, the organization and all its members' access is also terminated. Transfer ownership to another Admin before canceling if you want the organization to continue under a different account.

Reactivation — ACT3 AI does not offer account reactivation after cancellation. To return to the platform, create a new account at app.act3ai.com.

Alternatives to Full Cancellation

Consider these options before canceling if your situation may change:

  • Downgrade to Free — Revert to the Free plan to keep your account active at no charge. You retain your projects in a read-only state and can resume production later by upgrading again.
  • Downgrade to a lower paid plan — Reduce your monthly cost while keeping access to your content and workflow.
  • Remove team members — If you are managing an organization and want to reduce costs, remove members rather than closing the account entirely.
  • Contact support — If you are having a technical problem or billing issue that prompted cancellation, contact ACT3 AI Support before canceling. Many issues can be resolved quickly.

Refund Policy

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. Credits purchased as add-ons are non-refundable once used. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support within 30 days of the charge.

Enterprise customers with annual contracts should refer to their contract terms for cancellation and refund provisions.
