If a vendor cannot answer eight of those eleven, they are selling a creative tool, not enterprise infrastructure. That is a legitimate product — just not one to build a content operation on.
Where AI Film Production Is Genuinely Ready Today
High-volume internal video. Training, onboarding, compliance, and enablement libraries are the strongest enterprise fit: the content is scripted, the visual bar is functional rather than cinematic, the volume is high, and the backlog is usually years deep. This is the category where the ROI argument makes itself.
Pre-visualization and pitch material. Collapsing an 80–200 hour pre-production process into roughly two hours changes what an internal team can put in front of an executive committee. Previs is low-risk because it is explicitly a plan, not a deliverable.

- Regulated content where provenance must be provable end to end. Achievable, but requires deliberate process design rather than a tool purchase.
Any vendor who tells you all four of those are solved is not a vendor to trust on the other seven.

1. Runtime — can it hold a whole show?
