Dashboard

The Dashboard is your home base in ACT3 AI. It gives you an at-a-glance view of your active projects, credit balance, render jobs, and storage — and provides quick access to the most-used tools.

What You See on the Dashboard

Project Overview — A list of your active projects with their current status: Drafting, Rendering, or Completed. Click any project to open it in the editor.

Credit and Plan Summary — Shows your current plan tier, credits available this month, rollover bank balance, and a usage forecast based on recent activity. A warning appears when your balance drops below 20% and again at 5%.

Storage Meter — Visual indicator of how much cloud storage you have used versus your plan limit, broken down by project or organization.

Job Activity Feed — Live updates from the render queue, showing which jobs are queued, rendering, completed, or failed.

Quick Actions — One-click shortcuts to start a new project, open the script editor, or launch the AI Wizard.

From the dashboard sidebar you can reach:

  • New Project — Start a fresh production
  • AI Wizard — Generate a story outline from a concept
  • Script Editor — Write or edit a script
  • Characters / Digital Actors — Manage your actor library
  • Top-Down View — Visual camera planning tool (see Top-Down Editor)
  • Build Video / Render Queue — Video assembly and rendering
  • Cloud Storage — Browse and manage uploaded assets
  • Settings — Account, billing, and organization management (see Organization Settings)

Role-Based Views

What you see on the dashboard depends on your role:

  • Writers — See scripts, beats, and job previews
  • Directors — Access camera controls, Top-Down View, and render jobs
  • Admins — Full access including billing, credit usage, and organization settings
  • Viewers — Read-only access to project summaries and completed renders

Alerts and Notifications

The dashboard surfaces important alerts automatically:

  • Low credit balance warnings (20% and 5%)
  • Cloud storage alerts (80% and 95% full)
  • Failed render jobs with error details
  • Invitation notifications when teammates join your organization

Tips

  • Pin frequently used projects to the top of the project list for fast access
  • Check the job activity feed before starting new renders to avoid queue conflicts
  • Use the Quick Actions bar to jump straight to the AI Wizard for a new project concept
  • Admins can view per-user and per-project credit consumption in the organization settings panel
