Step 1: Pick an idea AI can actually shoot
Constraints beat ambition on a first project.
Favourable: few characters, few locations, action that is visible, moments that read in short shots, a clear beginning and end.
Punishing: crowds, complex prop handling, long continuous takes, fine hand detail, anything whose meaning lives in dialogue subtext with no visual signal.
Write a one-sentence logline. If you cannot see the last shot of the film in your head, keep working on the idea, not the tools.
Step 2: Get a script
Two routes.
Write it. Standard screenplay format. Keep each action paragraph to one visual idea — one paragraph becomes one shot. Use identical location names each time. Spell character names identically.

Step 4: Break the script into a shot list
Every shot needs more than a description. It needs: shot type, camera movement, lens and height, characters present, primary focus, wardrobe variant, set, lighting, and duration.

Step 5: Generate first frames
Generate one still per shot before generating any motion. Two reasons:
- Cheaper iteration. Fixing the look on a still is faster than re-rolling video.
- Better video. A first frame anchors the shot's composition, character look and lighting, so the video model has less room to invent.

Step 6: Generate video and audio
Now the clips. Alongside them:

Do not generate all 120 shots at once on your first pass. Do a scene, watch it, fix what is systematically wrong, then run the rest.
Step 7: Assemble and review the whole thing
Approved shots stitch into scenes with transitions and audio. Then watch the film end to end, on one timeline, at full length. Clip-by-clip review will not find the problems that matter — pacing that sags in the middle, a costume that changed, two consecutive shots on the same angle.
