Creating a Product Demo Video
Who this is for: Product marketers, demand gen teams, and agency producers creating videos that show a product in action and explain why it matters.
A product demo video needs to do one thing: make the viewer understand what this product does and why they need it. In ACT3 AI, you don't need to rent a studio or hire a crew. You write the script, create the visual context, and generate the footage.
What you'll do, in order
1. Write a focused script — problem, solution, proof
A good product demo follows a tight structure: here's the problem your customer has, here's how the product solves it, here's proof it works. Write this as a script with clear scenes for each beat.

2. Choose sets that show the product in context
The environment where the product is used is part of the story. A B2B software product lives in an office. A fitness product lives in a gym. A food product lives in a kitchen. Create sets that match the customer's world.
3. Cast talent that looks like your customer
Your demo talent should be aspirational but relatable. Create digital actors who match your buyer persona — their age, look, and how they present in a professional or consumer context.

4. Build shots that demonstrate the product clearly
For product demos, clarity beats artistry. Use medium shots and close-ups to make the product visible. Use over-the-shoulder shots when showing a screen or interface. Keep camera moves simple and clean.
5. Add voice-over for explanation
Most product demos use a voice-over that explains what we're seeing. Write the voice-over text in the script as narration, assign a voice, and add it as a scene-level audio track.

6. Keep visual style clean and professional
For B2B or professional products: cool, desaturated, high-contrast. For consumer products: warm, vibrant, energetic. Set your visual style at the project level so all shots are consistent.
7. Export for each channel
Website embed: H.264 MP4, 16:9. LinkedIn: MP4, square or 16:9. YouTube: 16:9. Sales deck embed: MP4. Export all from the same project.
